Having grown up in Hong Kong and more recently living in Canada - two former British Colonies, she has witnessed and experienced the legacy of colonialism and post-colonial lives, more specifically, the rising of socio-cultural challenges and tensions which greatly impacted her work. In recent years, her work disseminates and explores the themes of abuse of powers, censorship and intimate partner violence (IPV), across Asia, Europe and North America.
To her, the role of artist and practitioner are inseparable, as she considers a holistic journey of print and zine making includes creation, education, circulation, and archival. There in her projects she provide opportunities for the public as well as peer up-and-coming artists.
